The design, code and written content of makinola.org were made by the studio and remain its property. The site is a commercial portfolio: it presents the studio’s work and invites new projects.

The projects shown here were made for clients, and the rights to that work rest with each of them.

All brand names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here to identify the work and the role the studio played in it. This page presents that work as a professional portfolio, under each client’s ownership.

Product photography and campaign stills come from the original client shoots. Where a photographer’s name reached the studio, it appears beside the image.

For several images from the Loveland and Valhalla projects, the shoot credits sit with the client, and the studio holds the work under the client’s name. Photographers who recognise their work on this site are welcome to get in touch: the credit goes up, or the image comes down, whichever they prefer.

Any rights holder who wants an image, a name or a credit changed or removed can write through the form. The studio answers promptly and acts on it: correction, credit or removal, as the holder asks.

The form collects a name, a company, a description of the project, a location, dates and a budget range. That information is used to answer the enquiry and to prepare a proposal.

Details stay with the studio and with Formspree, a US-based service that delivers the messages. They are kept for as long as the conversation stays useful, and are removed on request.

Under the GDPR, anyone who has written to the studio can ask what is held, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. One message through the form starts it. Requests are answered within thirty days, as the GDPR requires.
